1st prize in competition for the redevelopment of the 1960's Kotka Parish center in downtown Kotka.

The existing situation is altered to better connect the center to the surroundings. New and improved existing connections through the block allows for co-operation with neighboring public functions and improve the accessibility and visibility for commercial spaces.

The project entails both renovation of the existing buildings and new additions to the whole. The new whole includes new parish center, added and renovated commercial space and a new residential building. The new and relocated parish center has a more distinct appearance to enhance both it's visibility and stance in the city.
